Water-main Commissioning

When a new water-main is installed it must be tested to meet M.O.E (Ministry of Environment) specifications prior to being introduced to the existing infrastructure.

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

An essential step to verify proper installation of the new water-main, by holding a constant pressure for the test period leaks can be seen by overall loss in pressure over time.

Any leaks that must be repaired to prevent potential back flow of ground water into the main.

Chlorination

This step disinfects the new water main killing any microbiological organisms that may be hazardous to human health.

Our operators are certified to deliver both methods:

De-Chlorination

This step removes the high-chlorinated water from the water main into multiple retention ponds. While allowing dechlorination pucks to remove the chlorine to avoid harmful damage to the environment.

Water Sampling

The last step in verifying that the new water-main is safe to go into commission and deliver clean drinking water. Failure to complete any of the above procedures correctly will result in a failed test and UN-SAFE drinking water!

Water samples are sent to an accredited lab for testing!
